Saroori terms Congress a force to reckon with, says it represents People’s aspirations ,Several joined Congress

KISHTWAR, NOVEMBER 12: –Saying that Congress is a force to reckon with, J&K Congress Vice President, Former Minister, G. M Saroori observing that the people were real fountain head of power in a democratic polity and in the coming Assembly elections will prove the cynics wrong with the party registering massive victory.

Speaking at a function held in connection with the joining of Tariq Hussain Wani in Congress, Mr Saroori said is the party of poor, peasants, working class, marginalized segments of society that has flourished as a big Carvaan over the decades to steer J&K to peace, progress and prosperity”, he said adding that the party will continue to play its historic role in meeting the challenges.

While dwelling upon the prevailing scenario, Saroori exhorted the Congress cadre to shoulder their crucial responsibilities toward people and remain in the forefront to meet challenges. He said Congress has a chequered history of public service and it’s role in upholding the dignity and identity of the people, irrespective of religion and region cannot be ignored or undermined.
