Safeer Choudhary Strongly Condemns Demolition of Senior Journalist Arfaz Ahmed Daing’s House by JDA Jammu

JAMMU NOV 27:-Social activist Safeer Choudhary has strongly condemned the demolition of the residential house of senior journalist Irfaz (Arfaz) Daing, allegedly carried out by the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) without serving any prior notice.

Calling the action “unjust, arbitrary, and deeply disturbing,” Choudhary said that targeting a senior journalist raises serious concerns regarding the transparency, due process, and fairness of government authorities.

He demanded that the JDA publicly disclose the grounds of the demolition and urged the administration to order an immediate and impartial inquiry into the incident. Choudhary further appealed to the Lieutenant Governor–led administration to intervene and ensure relief and justice for the affected family.

Expressing full solidarity with Journalist Daing, Choudhary said,
“Such actions create an atmosphere of fear among media professionals, who are the backbone of democracy and freedom of expression.”
