SRINAGAR DEC 05:-In a bold move to protect the environment, Sabiya Bano, the RLJP State Secretary Women’s Wing and incharge of the North Zone Women’s Wing, has officially raised serious concerns regarding the ongoing railway project that threatens local ecosystems. This initiative, which promises connectivity and development, is now under scrutiny as environmental activists and community leaders voice their apprehensions.

“While we understand the importance of infrastructure development, we cannot overlook the potential ecological damage that this railway project poses,” stated Bano. “Our natural habitats are already under pressure, and this project could exacerbate the situation, leading to irreversible consequences.”

The Women’s Wing emphasizes the need for a balanced approach that prioritizes both development and environmental sustainability. “We must ensure that progress does not come at the cost of our planet. It is our responsibility to environmental experts for the preservation of our ecology for future generations,” Bano added.

Community members have echoed these sentiments, highlighting the project’s potential impact on wildlife, air quality, and local water sources. As discussions continue, Bano urges stakeholders to reconsider the project’s design and implementation strategies.

“This is not just an issue for today; it is about the legacy we leave behind. We call upon the government and project developers to engage in meaningful dialogue with environmental experts and local communities,” Bano concluded.

The RLJP State Secretary Women’s Wing and in charge of the North Zone Women’s Wing is committed to advocating for a sustainable future while ensuring that women’s voices are heard in the discourse surrounding environmental protection and development
