RAJOURI OCTOBER 31:–As a part of events to observe Police Commemoration week & Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri organised a Run for Unity on Tuesday morning.
The Run for Unity was flagged off from District Police Lines Rajouri by SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh (IPS) who was accompanied by Additional SP Headquarter, Vivek Shekhar Sharma and other officers of police as well as CAPF.
A large number of district police personnel as well as personnel from India Reserve Police (IRP) and CAPF took part in this run that started from DPL ground and passed through BGSB University turn, Dak Bungalow road, Gujjar Mandi chowk, Abdullah bridge, main city roads and culminated again at DPL Rajouri.
Holding banners with messages and slogans, the participants of this march spread message of peace, harmony, unity and oneness.
Pertinent to mention here that Police Commemoration Week is being observed across the district with multiple events have been organised on different themes that also include paying homage to martyrs who had laid down their lives for the motherland.
