ROs issues notices to 2 individuals for MCC violations in Rajouri

RAJOURI AUGUST 25:–Returning Officers of two Assembly Constituencies of AC-87 Thanamandi (ST) and AC-86 Budhal (ST) for the first time during the ensuing election process on Sunday issued notices to two individuals for violating Model Code of conduct.
Both the individuals have been asked to explain the reasons behind violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) within 24 hours.
Dil Mir Returning Officer AC86 Budhal (ST)-who is also Additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka) in a notice issued to one Waqar Lone s/o late Bashir Ahmed Lone (associated with NC party) resident of Rajnagar Budhal sought explanation for organising political meeting in his area/land on August 25in which a number of people and some prominent leaders also participated.
Nodal Officer MCC, FST & VST reported that the meeting was organised without prior permission from the competent authority which is contrary to the provision of MCC.
By the medium of this notice you are required to explain the reason behind organising such a political meeting without due permission of the authorities. Your reply should reach this office within 24 hours” read RO notice No. RO/86/Bud/2024-25/196-99 dt 25/8/2024”.
Similarly, RO AC-87 Thanamandi , Abid Hussain -who is also SDM-has issued MCC violation notice to one Sayeed Manzoor Bukhari, resident of Kotedhara and associated with J&K Apni Party for crossing the jurisdiction of Thanamandi Constituency along with apprx 100 persons and 20-25 vehicles on 25/8/2024.
Notice read that Nodal Officer MCC, FST & VST reported (vehicles stopped for checking /permission) that Sayeed Manzoor entered the constituency without taking prior permission for this visit from authority concerned thus violating the MCC.
“By the medium of this notice you are required to file your reply behind the cause of travelling along with 20-25 vehicles without taking formal permission from the authorities & thus violating the MCC. Your reply should reach this office within 24 hours” read RO’s notice No.RO/TMD/2024-25/220-223 dt 25/8/2024”.
