SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 11:-Prominent socio-political activist, senior trade union leader, and civic reformer Mohammad Altaf Dar has voiced serious concern over the poor condition of internal link roads in Khawajabagh, Rajbagh.
The residents have expressed anguish that the stretch from the residence of Nazir Ahmed Dar (Bismillah) via the houses of Abdul Quyoom Dar, Mohammad Yousuf Dar, and adjoining areas has become nearly impassable due to waterlogging, potholes, and accumulated mud.
Being a vital link for school-going children, elderly residents, and daily commuters, the road’s dilapidated condition poses grave risks to both pedestrians and vehicles, particularly after rainfall.
The locals have appealed to the Hon’ble MLA Lalchowk Mr. Ahsan Pardesi, Divcom Kashmir & Concerned Departments to personally intervene and ensure immediate upgradation/ macadamization of the road on a priority basis. They stressed that timely redressal will not only ease daily hardships but also prevent further damage to the already deteriorating surface.
The community reiterated that this long-pending demand must be addressed at the earliest to restore smooth movement, civic convenience, and basic dignity in the locality.
