Rajouri, October 29:–Continuing socio-cultural events to remember the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir police parivar and to offer tributes to them, police here in Rajouri district held multiple events at Kalakote, Thanamandi and Kandi areas.
Under these efforts, debates on the various topics, were held at MET school Thanamandi, Governement Higher Secondary School Kandi and Governement Higher Secondary School Kalakote.
Senior police officers, civil administration officials, panchayat leader, civil society members and family members of martyrs besides students took part in these debates wherein role of a police personnel and sacrifices made my martyrs for the motherland were discussed.
Speakers termed police martyrs as pride son of soil who sacrificed their lives for safety and security of society.
Later, in Kandi, Shahpur Larkuti road chowk was renamed after the name of Martyr Mohammad Ashraf whereas Badhal Khawas road was renamed after the name of Martyr Yash Pal.
