REK Teachers forum Poonch appeal LG to address their demands

Mandi, May 09:–The Rehbar-e-khel Physical Teachers’ Forum Poonch appeal Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha to address their demands and expressed deep anguish over the step motherly attitude of the govt. Several years had passed by but the issues and the grievances of these teachers are as it is. In spite of given various assurances by the govt, yet no positive development has been carried out to address the issues of these teachers. There are three thousand Rehbar-e-khel teachers in J&k who are crying for justice since their appointment.

The Spokesperson of J&k Rehbar-e-khel teachers Association Mr. Pervaiz Malik Afridi, who is also district President of REK Forum district Poonch said that the government is playing with the emotions of three thousand REK teachers. The government has given us assurances several times regarding the redressal of our issues but all in vain. Our several delegations met with honourable Lt Governor and other concerned officers who assured us Justice but all seems to be mere dialogues.We also launched various protest march but the authorities has turned blind eye towards us, he added.

The Spokesperson of Rehbar-e-khel Physical Teachers Forum Poonch, Mr Imtiaz Lone also express anguish against the govt of J&k UT. He said that the careers of three thousand educated and talented youth of J&k seems to be ruined. We are highly qualified and talented youth who brought various laurels not for J&k only but for the nation itself. There are various international and national players, singers and artists who made J&k proud by their talent. Amongst many, one such talented REK teacher is Mr Ehsan Asgar who was one of the finalists of Indian Idol, the ace singing show of India. Besides that, his various albums and songs has been released which has been appreciated by the people across india. With such talent, we are getting almost nothing in return. He further said that the REK teachers are discharging every duty that has been ordered by the authorities. Even in this unfortunate pandemic, the REK teachers are on front food. The J&k has also secured first place in Fit India Movement Registration and the REK played a key role in that. In spite of doing such great work, we are continuously been ignored by the govt, he added.

The Forum demands the immediate regularization and hike in pay scal for three thousand Rehbar-e-khel Physical teachers of J&k. They also demands the insurance in case of any unfortunate incident during on duty in this pandemic as is giving to the other employees of J&k.
