BUDHAL /RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 29:–A camp for registration of unorganized workers on e-shram portal was organized today by the office of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Rajouri here at BDO Office Budhal under the aegis of the District administration.
Scores of workers interacted with, Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Rajouri and enquired about the process and benefits of getting registered.
Underlining the importance of registration of unorganised workers, she said that special camps are being organised for the purpose through the common service centres (CSC) across the district Rajouri.
Registration on the e-shram portal will require Aadhaar details, bank account number linked with Aadhar card and age limit of 16 to 59.
She informed the participants that it is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers (NDUW) being created by Ministry of Labour and Employment which includes migrant workers, construction workers, domestic help, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, street vendors, Rickshaw pullers, farmers, agricultural labourers, animal husbandry workers, Beedi rolling workers, barbers, weavers, carpenters, brick kiln, quarry workers, saw mill workers, vegetable and fruit vendors, newspapers vendors, auto drivers, sericulture workers, Tamer workers, housemaids, Gig and platform workers, etc. etc.
Chairperson Block Development Council Budhal Shamim Akhter, BDO Budhal Shaharyar Dar, Sarpanch Rajnagar Shabir Kamlak, Sarpanch Kewal Farooq Inqlabi, District President Association Rajouri Dilshad Ahmed Malik, Social Activist Manzoor Qazi, Layaqat Choudhary and others also highlighted the benifits of scheme.
