Rajouri August 27:–Jammu and Kashmir police arrested one person and huge consignment of narcotics has been recovered from his possession.
In a press conference, Superintendent of Police Ms. Sheema N Qasba imformed that a team of Sunderbani police station during vehicle frisking duty on 26th of August, 2021 at Sunderbani, on Jammu Rajouri highway, intercepted a Tata Indigo Car JK02B 2493.
During frisking of said vehicle, a consignment measuring 690 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered, which was seized.
The arrested person has been identified as Liyaquat Ali S/O Mohd Rasheed resident of Doongi Bharamana village, District Rajouri.
A case FIR No. 79/2021 under sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered in Sunderbani police station and further investigation is going on to unearth all the links connected with the arrested man in smuggling of Narcotics.
Additional SP Nowshera, Amit Verma, SDPO Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza and other officers were also present in this press conference.
