RAJOURI FEB 02:-Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drug trafficking, Rajouri Police has apprehended a drug peddler and heroin-like narcotic substance recovered from him.
During a routine patrolling and Naka checking at Bareri, a team from Police Station Nowshera led by SHO Nowshera, when they noticed a suspicious individual attempting to flee upon spotting the police. Acting swiftly, the team chased and successfully apprehended him.During his personal search the police recovered 07 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Sunny Kumar @ Sundi S/O Jai Ram resident of Bareri, Hunjana Khanka, Nowshera Rajouri.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 15/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Nowshera and further investigation is underway to trace backward and forward linkages of the drug network.
