RAJOURI JUNE 11:-In a significant crackdown on illicit liquor production, police from Kandi Station conducted a successful raid in the Jaglanoo area of Koteranka, following a tip-off based on credible intelligence.
During the operation, the police team recovered approximately 300 litres of lahan—a fermented substance used in the distillation of illegal liquor—which was destroyed on the spot. Additionally, 15 litres of illicit country-made liquor (desi sharab) were seized from the site.
A case FIR No 65/2025 has been registered under relevant Section of the Excise Act at PS Kandi and further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend those involved in the illegal trade.
