RAJOURI FEBRUARY 13:-In its continued drive against drug trafficking, police have achieved significant success in two separate naka checking operations conducted in the district.
Recovery of 20 Grams Of Heroin-like Narcotic Substance at Sunderbani
During routine naka checking at ITI Naka, Sunderbani a passenger vehicle (Taxi) Suzuki Ertiga bearing Registration No. JK12D-3360 was intercepted. During checking one passenger identified as *Riaz Ahmad S/o Mohd Rashid R/o Gursahi Tehsil Mendhar District Poonch* was found in possession of approximately 20 grams of a heroin-like substance.
In this regard a Case FIR No 09/2026 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sunderbani.
*Recovery of 30 Grams Of Charas Like Narcotic Substance at Manyal Thanamandi*
In another incident during naka checking at the Manyal area police stopped and checked a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK11F-3666. During checking *Waseem Yusuf S/o Mohd Yusuf and Taraf Mehmood S/o Mohd Farooq both residents of Manyal Thanamandi* were found in possession of approximately 30 grams of charas.
In this regard a Case FIR No 12/2026 U/S 8/20/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Thanamandi.
All the accused persons have been taken into custody and further investigation in both cases is underway.
