RAJOURI OCT 04:-Abhay Chandan, a 13-year-old student from National Public Hr. Sec. School in Rajouri, has made his district proud by winning first prize at the divisional level poster-making competition held on the eve of the 155th Gandhi Mahotsav 2024. His beautiful sketch of Mahatma Gandhi was initially selected at the district level and then went on to win at the divisional level, beating entries from all districts.
Abhay, a 7th-class student and emerging artist, credits his success to his father and school. He received appreciation, a prize from the Director of School Education, Jammu, and a cash prize of five thousand rupees. This achievement is especially significant for Rajouri district, which often faces challenges in gaining mainstream recognition.
