Rajouri April 14:–Avoiding use of masks, rush in the markets, large number of people attending functions being organised both by people & the administration, etc have once again resulted in the steep rise in Corona positive cases in Rajouri district.
During the last 15 days, 76 persons were tested positive and among them more than 14 are symptomatic and are in hospital isolation at Rajouri (9) and & other places.
The infection reportedly spread after some persons from UK, Saudi Arab and other parts of the country, including students, returned to Rajouri district and came in contacts with their family members, friends & others before testing positive.
After aggressive sampling/ testing of their contacts, the number of active cases in Rajouri district has reached 90 till Wednesday and increasing day by day.
With a daily increase in positive cases, the administration has started taking some tough measures, including a fine for not wearing masks, awareness about deadly disease/vaccination re-functioning of Covid care Centers (CCC) etc.
“Initially some Covid Care Centers (CCCs) including at MCH hospital and at Girls hostel Nagrota will be made functional,” said CMO.
As per circular issued by Deputy Commissioner today , the CCCs earlier established at Mother & Child Care (MCH) at Rajouri, Girls hostel at Mera Nagrota, Girls hostel at Planger(Thanmandi), Girls hostel at Kalkaot, Jawahar Lal Nehru Vidyalaya (Kotranka) and Banquet Hall in an Ashram at Sunderbani will initially be re-activated & for that committees have been constituted.
Committees after visiting the CCCs shall submit the reports about the facilities needed in the Centers.
