**Both countries explore possibilities of defence industrial collaboration & cooperation in domains like AI.
RAJOURI-DELHI MAR 18:-Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with the Defence Minister of the Netherlands, Mr. Ruben Brekelmans, in New Delhi on March 18, 2025.
The two leaders discussed elevating bilateral cooperation in areas such as defence, security, information exchanges, the Indo-Pacific, and new and emerging technologies. They explored possibilities for collaboration in shipbuilding, equipment, and space sectors, optimizing the complementarities in skills, technology, and scale of the two countries.
Additionally, the Ministers discussed working together in domains like Artificial Intelligence and related technologies, besides connecting their respective defence technology research institutes and organizations.
Rajnath Singh, in a post on X, said: “Delighted to meet the young and dynamic Defence Minister of the Netherlands, Mr. Ruben Brekelmans. We reviewed the full range of India-Netherlands defence cooperation. We look forward to further deepening and elevating our defence partnership, including areas like defence, cybersecurity, the Indo-Pacific, and emerging technologies like AI.”
