PSA Case of MLA Doda Mehraj Malik Listed for Feb 19; Govt to Continue Arguments Before High Court

SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 12:-The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on Thursday heard the Public Safety Act (PSA) case pertaining to MLA Mehraj Malik and scheduled the next hearing for February 19, 2026.

During the proceedings held on February 12, the court fixed February 19 as the next date for continuation of arguments in the matter.

The government is expected to resume its submissions before the High Court on the scheduled date.

The case concerns the detention of the legislator under the Public Safety Act, with the court currently examining the legal validity and procedural aspects of the detention order.
