Public-Govt unison must for the success of the developmental process: Shailendra Kumar.
RAJOURI, OCTOBER 30:–Principal Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD-R&B), Shailendra Kumar, on Monday, presided over a Public Darbar-cum-Grievance Redressal Camp here at PWD Dak Bungalow in Rajouri.
This Public Darbar in Rajouri stands as a testament to the dedication of the Government to directly engage with the public, understanding their needs, and taking tangible steps to make a positive impact on the community.
Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal briefed the Principal Secretary regarding the overall development scenario of the district.

ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; CMO, Dr. Rajinder Sharma; DDC members; BDCs; PRIs among representatives of people from various parts of the district were present on occasion.
In an open discussion during the Public Darbar, PRIs and representatives of the people raised many critical issues before the Principal Secretary and sought his intervention in ensuring early redressal of their grievances.
Most of the important demands & grievances raised by the people pertained to PWD (R&B), Health, Jal Shakti, and Education departments and the construction of additional Bunkers, Women Degree College at Rajouri.
The demands/grievances raised before Shailendra Kumar also include the ongoing construction of Rajouri town circular road under CRF/Languishing projects and some others Languishing projects has been stoped due to non-payment, macadamization, bolstering health infrastructure, addressing staffing shortages, resolving water scarcity, initiating construction works on buildings of Government Degree Colleges in Doongi, Budhal, and Darhal, addressing the deteriorating condition of roads, blacktopping road in different areas of Rajouri, constructing new roads in Harichuma and Treru Upper-B.
Border dwellers also raised demand for the construction of additional Bunkers, and the release of pending payments of Bunkers.
Other important demands raised include establishment of a Munsiff court in Darhal, the establishment of a sub-district hospital and trauma center in Thanamandi, upgradation of high school Chowdhury Nar to the HSS level, repair hand pumps, construct a mini secretariat building for Rajouri, complete the Badala Mang Bridge project, shortage of doctors and teachers, expedite pending payments under
MGNREGA, double lanning of the Kalakote-Siot road.
Principal Secretary, Shailendra Kumar while taking cognizance of grievances raised by the general public conveyed commitment to addressing the pressing issues.
“The Government is to ensure that basic facilities and services are delivered to the general public in an efficient and timely manner. Your voices had been heard, and their concerns would not go unnoticed,” he said.
“The development process can only be successful when both the Government and public work in unison” he added & encouraged the people to actively participate in the journey towards a better quality of life for everyone.
“The Government is to facilitate progress, but true development requires the active engagement and support of the people it serves,” said Shailendra Kumar
He affirmed that the government would take concrete actions to address the issues and work towards fulfilling the demands raised by the people of the Rajouri district.
