Rajouri April 21:–The District Rajouri administration has taken some measures for the effective implementation of guidelines, SOPs for the effective containment of Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer, Rajouri has ordered for the closure of Model Girls Higher Secondary School (HSS) at Rajouri for five days, till April 25, after a teacher was declared Covid-19 positive case.
All the staff members have been advised for the testing and for home isolation.
District Magistrate Rajesh Shavan, KAS under sectio144CrPC & under relevant provisions of Epidemic Diseases Act & Disaster Management Act besides other restrictions have restricted the presence of persons to attend cremation/burial to 20, 50 for all kind of indoor functions &100 for outside function inside, compulsory testing for passengers from outside the district, 10 pm to 6 pm curfew in all the major towns etc.
50% shops in all the major markets shall open on a rotational basis (alternative days) and shall remain open between 8 am to 8 pm.
“However, the shops of essential commodities shall remain open on all the days and no shop will be opened on Sunday,” DM order reads.
Village surveillance committees have been constituted for monitoring, tracking & tracing of contacts of already positive cases.
Block Medical Officers have been asked to establish control rooms/call centers at the block level and to maintain call registers for enquiring well being of positive cases in home isolation.
“ASHAs, BACs, Facilitators, Pharmacists at call centers have been asked to contact positive persons (in-home isolation) twice in a day to monitor their well-being.
Covid-19 graph is rising day by day in the district & with 41 more cases tested positive toady the tally of positive cases has risen to 266 and three have recovered today.
“Out of 266 active positive cases 228 are in home isolation, 22 were admitted in Associated Hospital & Government Medical College (AH&GMC), 13 are under treatment in Covid Care centers at Jammu, 2 are under treatment in Naryana hospital (Katra) & 1 is in BSF quarantine” said official sources.
Sources said from across the district 1150 samples, including 800 RAT and 265 RT-PCR, were collected today while 1681 persons were vaccinated today.
