Poonch U-17 Girls Cricket Team Returns After Semi-Final Loss

POONCH SEPT 18:–The Poonch U-17 girls cricket team returned home after a hard-fought semi-final match in the regional tournament. Despite their loss, the young athletes were greeted with a warm welcome as they showcased immense talent and determination throughout the competition.

In a ceremony held to honor the players, Mr. Mool Raj, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Poonch, distributed participation certificates to all team members. This recognition highlighted the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the girls who represented Poonch on the cricket field.

Various esteemed officials were present at the event, including Manjeet Singh (ZPEO Officer, Sathra), Nanak Singh (Activity Incharge), and several representatives from the education department, including Vijay Kumar,Mohd umar Talat Waseem, Muzafar, and Parvaiz Malik. Each of these individuals expressed their admiration for the team’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of sports in fostering teamwork and discipline among youth.

During his address, Mr. Mool Raj applauded the team, stating, “It was a proud moment for all of us.
