Police Station Handwara and Police Station Qalamanad arrests four peddlers, narcotics recovered

HANDWARA JULY 30 :–Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police recovered charas like substance and arrested four persons.

On July 29, 2022, a police party of Police Station Qalamabad while on routine naka at Shartgund Bala, apprehended two persons who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner. On search, around 110 grams of charas like substance was recovered from their possession. The persons have been identified as Tariq Ahmad Mir S/o Ab Kabir R/o Haril and Shareef Din Pandith S/o Gh Rasool R/o Bunpora Langate.

In relation to this, FIR No. 47/2022 U/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Qalamabad and investigation has been initiated.

Similarly, a police party of Police Station Handwara while on naka near ITI Handwara intercepted two persons who had attempted to evade the naka party in a suspicious manner. On search of the duo 350 grams of charas like substance and cash amount of rupees 2800 has been recovered. They have been identified as Shafkat Shahnaz Kaboo S/o Shahnaz Ahmad Kaboo R/o Ganipora and Farooq Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Sultan R/0 Lachipora

In relation of this, case FIR No.209/2022 U/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registerrd in PS Handwara and investigation taken up.
