RAJOURI DEC 13:-The Social Welfare Department organized a pension grievance redressal camp at Panchayat Ghar in Leeran, Tehsil Darhal. The event witnessed the participation of around 200 beneficiaries who raised various issues related to their pensions and other welfare concerns.
The department assured attendees of prompt action to address their grievances. Beneficiaries of the ISSS (Integrated Social Security Scheme) and NSAP (National Social Assistance Program) schemes were informed about their rights and the benefits available under these programs.
In addition, attendees were educated about other welfare initiatives, including marriage assistance schemes, scholarships, and aid for disabled persons such as prosthetic devices and motorized tricycles.
The camp also featured health screenings for elderly and disabled individuals conducted by doctors from the Health Department, who distributed free medicines to the patients. Dr. Nazir from Ayush and Shahid Mumtaz Khan, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO) Darhal, provided detailed information on government welfare schemes aimed at uplifting vulnerable groups, including women and children.
