Out of 316 PMGSY schemes 267 completed. 274 kms roads blacktopped in Rajouri.

RAJOURI, MAY 07:–During the financial year 2021-22, out of 316 schemes under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (P MGSY) the work on 267 has been completed and 274-kilometer roads have been blacktopped in two sub-divisions in the Rajouri district.
This was disclosed at a meeting chaired by Vikas Kundal, District Development Commissioner (DDC) to review the progress achieved under the PMGSY sector in the district.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer, PMGSY (Rajouri Division) Subash Chander Sharma and Assistant Executive Engineer, PMGSY (Budhal Division) Mohammad Akram, and other concerned officers of the PMGSY sector.
In the meeting, the DDC, Vikas Kundal took a comprehensive stock of the physical and financial achievements in both the subdivisions.
The DDC was informed that in the Rajouri sub-division out of 192 schemes, the work on 165 schemes has been completed in all respects, while the rest would be completed shortly.
The DDC was also informed that 190 kms of roads have been blacktopped during the financial year 2021-22 in the Rajouri sub-division.
In the Budhal sub-division out of 124 schemes, 102 have been completed and the work on the rest was expected to be completed by the end of September this year, while 84 kms of roads have been blacktopped in during the financial year 2021-22.
“Ensure time-bound completion of work on the projects so that necessary benefits in terms of connectivity are provided to the common masses,” the DDC asked the concerned officers.
He also directed the Executive Engineers to ensure close monitoring of the work on the projects being executed in their respective jurisdictions.
