Rajouri March 31:–Continuing drive against illicit liquor manufacturing, police here in Rajouri district destroyed another working still and arrested a man from Dhar Sakri village of Rajouri’s Kotranka tehsil.
On March 30, 2021, a team headed by SHO Kandi, Habib Pathan assisted by ASI Satish Kumar while on routine patrolling in Dhar Sakri village, apprehended one person who was found to be manufacturing illicit liquor. The person was identified as Onkar Singh son of Ghayan Singh resident of Dhar Sakri village.
Around 60 litres of Lahaan were recovered from his possession and destroyed on the spot, whereas 10 litres of illicit liquor and working still allied items were also recovered from his possession and seized on the spot.
FIR 20/2021 under section 48 (a), (b), (e) of the Excise Act has been registered in Kandi police station and investigation initiated.
