NSS unit of Govt.Degree College Mandi Concluded two days series of events on Gandhi Jayanti.

Mandi,/Poonch October 04:NSS Volunteers of Govt.Degree College Mandi commemorated father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary by celebrating two days series of events on 1st and 2nd October 2020.
The two days series of activities were conducted under the guidance and supervision of Principal Dr.Mohd Azam. The series of events were organized with the effective way by observing SopS and direction from the Govt.for the containment of covid-19 pandemic.The proceeding of the events were successfully conducted by Dr.Shiraz Mir. On day ist online intra collegiate essay writing competetion was organized on the topic Gandhian ideas of cleanliness with special refrence to covid-19 pandemic and preventive measures
in which large number of students participated with zeal and zest.On day 2nd (2nd october2020 ) the symposium was organized on the theme” Relevance of Gandhian philosophy in present era with special refrence to Humanity”in which most of the participants highlighted the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi related the mentioned topic.On this occasion Dr.Mohd Azam Principal of this College and Dr.Aurangzaib Anjum stressed upon the students to follow the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and said that the Gandhiji philosophy and noble work made him gain the title of “Mahatma” Great soul and his story of life has impacted humanity to its core.They further said that the message of peace and non- violence convinced the world to live according to the principles of his philosophy and ultimately proved a great strength in attaining the freedom .At the end,the cleanliness drive was also initiated in the college campus followed by a pledge taking ceremony.
