GNS Poonch May 09:-Continuing its drive against the Drug menace the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Ramesh K Angral Poonch Police achieved a breakthrough when a team of Mandi Police police station led by SHO Mandi Ravinder Rakwal under the guidance of Addl. SP Raja Adil, and DySP Hqrs Aijaz Bhat apprehended a Notorious Drug Peddler namely Khurshid Ahmad Lone s/o Bashir Ahmed Lone r/o Jaalian Tehsil Mandi from Kundan, Jaalian.Consequently, 159 grams of Cannabis @ Charas was recovered from his possession.
The accused was arrested alongwith the vehicle was seized by Police bearing registration no. JK02AF-2031,used in commission of the said offence.
A case FIR No 22/2019 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered In PS Mandi and investigation of the case is in progress.
