Northern Army Commander reviews Op preparedness in Rajouri.

RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 08:–After about a month of the visit of Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande (August 6) to forward areas in Rajouri & Po onch, on Thursday Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi visited forward areas in Rajouri district and reviewed the security situation.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the last week of August, the Indian Army had foiled three infiltration bids made from across the LoC in Lam & Jhangar sectors in the Nowshera sub-division in Rajouri district.
Two terrorists were killed in the minefields while another Tabarak Hussain was captured who on 3rd September died due to cardiac arrest in the Army hospital at Rajouri.
After inputs about the presence of terrorists along LoC opposite to Rajouri & Poonch districts, the troops are already on high alert.
In Northern Command in a Twitter statement said: “Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, #Army CdrNC visited # Rajouri sector where he reviewed the operational preparedness & interacted with all ranks. He expressed confidence over the operational readiness & strong anti-infiltration grid adopted by troops”.
General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff during his visit to the forward areas of Poonch & Rajouri Sectors also reviewed the operational preparedness along the Line of Control. He also interacted with all ranks & exhorted them to keep working with the same zeal & enthusiasm.
