No laxity in the quality of developmental works, DDC

:–The District Development Commissioner Rajouri while reviewing the functioning of Rural Development Department (RDD) warns no laxity in terms of quality of the work.


“Special teams would be constituted to monitor the progress and quality of the works” he said.
He also set deadlines for the completion of 25875 PMAY-G houses and 17657 MGNREGA works and asked the BDOs to monitor development activities under their jurisdictions.


Rajesh Kumar Shavan, KAS,DDC today convened a meeting of officers of RDD to review physical and financial achievements of all the schemes under implementation.


DDC took a comprehensive review of progress on PMAY, MGNREGA, Aadhaar seeding, status of Aadhaar based payments, progress on FTO generation, preservation and renovation of water bodies, skill development of the masons; registration of vendors; Geotagging of the Rural Development Assets; repair renovation of the irrigation khuls and construction of the new khuls; completion of the Anganwadi centres, and other issues.


Sushil Khajuria, ACD appraised the DDC about the status of physical and financial progress of the centrally sponsored schemes and achievements made so far.


Against the target of 31308 houses under PMAY-G, 5433 stands completed and the rest are under different phases of execution while under MGNREGA 49291 works have been completed while 17657 works are in progress, informed ACD.
Geo-tagging for the phase first is 86 percent and the department will achieve 100 percent progress in coming days.
For Aadhaar seeding, the achievement is 79.86 % , while the achievement under Aadhaar based payment is quite less and is a major concern, ACD said.
“Depute an official along with required documents at the concerned JK Bank branch for Aadhaar seeding” said DDC.
600 vendors have been registered on the Portal said ACD while DDC directed to re-verify the list as per the rules and exclude the ineligible.
DDC, asked the ACD and DPO to submit a list of water bodies and a plan for their repair and renovation.


A plan for construction of 1000 new khuls and renovation of 457 khuls have been prepared to bring the area under irrigation informed ACD.
DDC asked the DPO to consult the Agriculture Officer before finalizing the plan.
The DDC also reviewed the status of the construction of Anganwadi centres. He asked the BDOs to submit a list of government buildings occupied illegally in their respective jurisdiction so that the buildings can be vacated and put in for public use.
