RAJOURI, MAY 09:-‘The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday carried out searches in six districts in the Kashmir division and in three districts in the Jammu division including in the Darhal area of Rajouri district.
NIA conducted extensive searches in the premises of cadres & hybrid terrorists and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) linked with the newly formed terrorist groups affiliated to Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al-Badr, Al-Qaeda, etc.
The raids were conducted by NIA days after 5 soldiers attained martyrdom in an attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists on an Army truck on Jammu-Poonch highway in Bhata Dhurian area of the Poonch district in which 5 soldiers of RR unit sacrificed their lives for the country on April 20 and another incident of terror in a dense forest in Kotranka (Kandi) sub-division of Rajouri district in which 5 Para Commandos of the SF attained martyrdom on May 5.
According to unconfirmed reports, NIA conducted a search in the house of a PRI member in the Chowkian village in Darhal tehsil related to the fidayeen attack on the RR base camp in this area in which four soldiers attained martyrdom and two fidayeen militants were also killed on 11 August 2022.
On Tuesday searches were carried out in case No. RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU against these terrorist outfits for committing acts of terror and violence in association with local supporters and OGWs.
