Jammu 20 April: Hinduist leader Raju Chandel while speaking to Kashmir Valley journalists said that I am really surprised to see the worsening condition of flood gates of Nallah. The Wetlands are murderers of Kashmir and the government does not want to find a remedy to restore the ancient glory of water bodies within the shortest time. The task of filling the land from the banks of rivers and removing illegal encroachments is left unfinished. No action has been taken till date, apart from this no concrete strategy has yet been worked out to stop people from throwing garbage in this historic water body.
The sacred rivers in the Kashmir Valley have their own history of water bodies. Water is precious for our lives but this unfortunate water source gets converted into a garbage dumping site due to the negligence of the administration in the holy rivers. He has proved incapable of playing his role to restore the ancient glory of the water bodies from the local people. The Kashmir Valley administration here does not want the urban and rural citizens to act as a responsible citizen and waste the polythene to the holy rivers Does not refrain from throwing them into the water bodies nor does the administration take any appropriate steps to stop them and people are conscious and conscious not to throw the waste in the water bodies for their own self-interest. The Department does not take any action by saying that it is not under our jurisdiction. It is indeed unfortunate that garbage around water bodies which is a serious threat to the lives of local residents. While tourists from all over the world come to the Kashmir Valley to see these beautiful plains of the Kashmir Valley, these holy rivers today Seeing that as a dumping point, tourists have started making their distance from these tourist places, due to these reasons, the tourism sector will suffer a lot in the coming time and no tourist will come to these places.
Raju Chandel appealed to Lieutenant Governor JKUit Manoj Sinha to take measures to restore the antiquity of water bodies in the Kashmiri Valley and clean up the waste around the water bodies within a minimum period of time.
