RAJOURI JULY 30:-Prominent socio-political leader Farooq Inqlabi has strongly condemned the gross negligence exhibited by the officers of the School Education Department in Rajouri, accusing them of endangering the safety of students by failing to act on the official weather advisory.
In a sharply worded statement, Inqlabi expressed deep concern over the department’s failure to declare the timely closure of schools during adverse weather conditions. “It is deeply unfortunate and highly irresponsible that the concerned officials remained unaware of the weather advisory. This not only disrupted the daily routine of students and parents but also exposed children to unnecessary risks,” he said.
Calling it a serious lapse in administrative duty, Inqlabi demanded immediate accountability. “In an age where information is just a click away, such carelessness is simply unacceptable. The administration must investigate this failure and take necessary disciplinary action against those responsible,” he added.
He further urged the government to establish robust coordination mechanisms between school authorities, the meteorological department, and district disaster management units. “Such systems are vital to ensure the safety of students and prevent similar blunders in the future,” Inqlabi asserted.
The statement has resonated with parents and civil society members, who also seek swift action and stronger safeguards for student welfare in the region.
