NCC cadet from Jammu to visit Bhutan under Youth Exchange Program

RAJOURI NOVEMBER  21:–In the series of Youth Exchange Programme, NCC Cadet Sameer Singh of NCC Directorate, J&K and Ladakh (JK&L) has been selected to visit Bhutan from December 12 to 18,2023.
The NCC Cadet Sameer Singh belongs to 2nd J&K Bn NCC and is a student at Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu.
Cadet Sameer Singh was selected for the during Republic Day Parade 2023 at New Delhi after undergoing a series of tough competitions amongst cadets from all NCC directorates across the Country.
Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva, ADG, NCC Dte JK&L has complimented cadet on his selection and for bringing laurels to the UT of JK&L.
“Such visits of NCC cadets enhance their understanding of other country traditions, Culture, ethos and facilitate holistic development of cadets and further enhance relationships of our country at strategic level,” said Army.
It is pertinent to mention here that under YEP, selected National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets participate in Youth Exchange Programme which is a country-to-country exchange of cadets belonging to NCC/ equivalent Govt/ youth organizations of friendly countries.
They participate in NCC activities of the host country to create an increased awareness and appreciation of each other’s socio-economic and cultural realities.
NCC has a vibrant YEP with 11 countries & our cadets share a strong bond with our YEP partners. As of now more than 100 cadets proceed abroad on Youth Exchange Programme annually.
