RAJOURI/JAMMU JULY 29:-Security agencies deployed in Jammu, Kathua, & Samba region on Monday here at Sambha Military Station conducted a table-top exercise aimed at enhancing their situational awareness and readiness in responding to potential security threats.
Top brass of Army, J&K Police, BSF, CRPF and Central and UT intelligence agencies reviewed the security situation in Jammu, Samba and Kathua region which have witnessed terror incidents and infiltration bids in the recent past.
The conference was attended by all stakeholders from security forces and intelligence agencies.
“The security agencies brainstormed and deliberated on various probable security scenarios and instituted measures to employ the full spectrum of counter terror capabilities in a synergised manner,” said PRO & Spokesperson, MoD Jammu.
The successful conduct of this joint exercise demonstrates the commitment of all agencies to ensure safety and security in the Jammu region,” he added.
Meanwhile, after recent spurt in terror related incidents and the presence of 5-6 terrorist groups; including ex- SSG commandos of Pakistan army; in Rajouri district, the Authorities have advised the people to avoid roaming in the forests between 9 pm and 4 am wearing shawls or blankets.
“The general public is hereby informed that no person shall visit or roam in the forest areas during late or night hours from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. wearing shawls or blankets etc., without seeking prior permission from concerned Army, police authorities in order to avoid any untoward incidents,” read a circular issued by Additional DC.
