Project Worth ₹359.83 Lakhs Near Bela Bridge to Improve Hygiene, Waste Management, and Public Health
RAJOURI OCT 22:-In a major step toward strengthening civic infrastructure, MLA Iftkhar Ahmed has sanctioned the establishment of a modern slaughter house in Ward No. 7, near Bela Bridge, Rajouri. The project, approved at an estimated cost of ₹359.83 lakhs, fulfills a long-pending demand of the local population and aims to enhance public hygiene, waste management, and meat safety standards in the town.
Announcing the development on his official social media handle, MLA Iftkhar Ahmed stated, “My people, my priority. I am happy to share that the long-pending demand of the people of Rajouri has been fulfilled. A modern slaughter house has been sanctioned with an amount of ₹359.83 lakhs at Ward No. 7, near Bela Bridge Rajouri. The tender will be floated shortly, and work will begin soon. This project will ensure better hygiene, proper waste management, and improved public health standards in our city.”
Residents of Rajouri have welcomed the announcement, expressing satisfaction that the facility will help maintain cleanliness and ensure regulated, safe meat processing in the area.
The tendering process is expected to begin soon, following which construction will commence—marking a significant step toward modernizing Rajouri’s urban health and sanitation infrastructure.
