SRINAGAR DEC 04:– In a compassionate outreach initiative, Mir Shaista Zehra, the General Secretary of Mahila Congress, visited the Chattabal locality yesterday, responding to the aftermath of a devastating fire that left many families displaced and in need of urgent assistance. Zehra presented blankets to the concerned authorities of the affected area, ensuring that the immediate need for warmth and comfort was addressed.
During her visit, Zehra expressed her heartfelt sympathy for the victims of the fire and assured them of her unwavering support. “We stand in solidarity with the families affected by this tragic incident. It is our duty to come together and help our community heal,” she stated.
Echoing her concerns for the victims’ safety, Zehra urged the Lieutenant Governor’s administration to take immediate action in providing aid for the reconstruction of homes that were damaged or destroyed in the fire. “Housing is a fundamental necessity, and I call upon the LG administration to assist these families in rebuilding their homes. The current conditions are not safe, and they deserve to live in a secure environment,” she highlighted.
The visit not only aimed to provide immediate relief aid but also to draw attention to the long-term needs of the affected families. Zehra affirmed her commitment to advocating for necessary resources and assistance from governmental bodies, emphasizing that community welfare must remain a priority.
