MGNREGA employees continues pen down strike in Bunjwah, BDC Chairman Bunjwah Maryam Begum extends support to agitating employees

BUNJWAH Agust 27 :–The MGNREGA employees continues pen down strike at Bunjwah since from 16 Aug 2020 over the demand of regularization. The employees have been working in the rural development department for last several years and have been rendering the services for the rural sector development in their respective areas. The important works in RDD under MGNREGA schemes are executed with the hard work of these employees. These employees have been working on various posts as per the requirement of the department.
While speaking on the occasion, Irshad Ahmed said that they have been engaged in the RDD before 12 years and before few years the then Govt framed the regularization policy but that could not be implemented till date. They said that most of the employees have crossed the upper age limit and are not eligible to apply for any Govt Job.
Another employee Rukhsana Kouser said that we are working in RDD since from last 12 years on monthly honourioum @6700/month and till day our job policy of regulisation is not framed.
Meanwhile BDC Chairman Block Bunjwah Maryam Begum extends their support to MGNREGA employees and have appealed the LG administration to regularize them at an earliest. It is pertinent to mention that general public is suffering lot due to pen down strike of these employees.
Various employees including All J&K MGNREGA assosation Block President Bunjwah Irshad Ahmed , Rukhsana Kouser, Nasseb Singh, Santosha Devi , Summiya Tabassum, Abdul Latief , Ashiq hussain and various others are on pen down strike.
