SRINAGAR NOV, 01:-Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday recalled the initiatives taken during her tenure to promote peace and reconciliation in the region.
In a post on social media platform X, JKPDP handle and in a video conversations, “As Chief Minister, I wrote to the Hurriyat urging dialogue with the All-Party Delegation coming from Delhi, ensured a unilateral ceasefire in J&K. Withdrew 12,000 FIRs against our youth.”
She further said that National Conference leaders Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah “do not have the courage to take such steps at a time when they are in power.”
The former CM’s remarks come amid renewed political exchanges between regional parties over governance and peace efforts in Jammu and Kashmir.
