Mega Medical Camp Organized at CHC Taryath under Seva Parv 2025

RAJOURI SEPT 23:-As part of the ongoing Seva Parv 2025 campaign themed “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Pariwar” (Healthy Women, Empowered Families), the Health Department, Kalakote, successfully organized a Mega Medical Camp at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Taryath. This impactful initiative focused on empowering women, improving community health, and raising awareness on critical issues concerning women’s well-being.

The camp was held under the visionary leadership of Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah (IAS), Administrative Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department; Shri Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary (IAS), Mission Director, NHM J&K; Sh. Abhishek Sharma (IAS), District Development Commissioner, Rajouri; and Dr. Abdul Hameed Zargar, Director Health Services, Jammu; with the support of Dr. Muhammad Tanwir (KAS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kalakote, and Dr. M.L. Rana, Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri.

The program was inaugurated by Hon’ble MLA Kalakote–Sunderbani, Thakur Randhir Singh, in the presence of Dr. Iqbal Malik, Block Medical Officer, Kalakote.

Specialist doctors from Government Medical College, Rajouri, provided a wide range of health interventions. The camp featured awareness sessions on women’s health, empowerment, physical well-being, and mental health, along with comprehensive screenings for non-communicable diseases, haemoglobin testing to detect anaemia, and tuberculosis (TB) screening.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Thakur Randhir Singh said the initiative reaffirmed the vision of “Healthy Women, Empowered Families”, echoing the core message of the Seva Parv 2025 campaign to strengthen community well-being through proactive healthcare outreach.

In addition, Dr. Iqbal Malik, who also serves as the District Mental Health Program Officer, delivered an insightful lecture on women’s mental health and provided specialized psychiatric consultations. He informed that the camp received an overwhelming response, with 375 patients examined. Free medicines, laboratory investigations, and diagnostic services were provided to all attendees.
