RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 10:-A mega medical camp was successfully organized today at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Kalakote under the overall supervision of Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director of Health Services, Jammu; Sh. Abhishek Sharma (IAS), District Development Commissioner, Rajouri; and Dr. Manhar Rana, Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri. The camp was conducted to provide essential healthcare services to residents impacted by the recent floods in the region.
*All medical services including Outpatient Department (OPD), Inpatient Department (IPD), X-ray, laboratory investigations, and medicines were provided completely free of cost to the affected population.* The camp aimed to ensure that vulnerable communities receive timely and comprehensive healthcare support during this period of distress.
Dr. Iqbal Malik, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kalakote, also extended specialized psychiatric services at the camp, including counseling for patients facing stress and trauma due to the flood situation. This initiative helped address both the physical and mental health needs of the community.
The camp witnessed a significant turnout of residents, who benefitted from consultations, diagnostic services, treatments, and mental health support. The event reinforced the administration’s commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of flood-affected populations and ensuring equitable access to healthcare services.
