RAJOURI APRIL 07:—A man selling illicit liquor from his Dhaba in Kalakote area of Rajouri has been arrested by police.
Police said that an information was recieved that in Kurl Baji Morh area of Kalakote, one person namely Roop Singh son of Lal Chand resident of Kurl is selling illicit desi liquor among the people from his Dhaba.
On this information, a police party headed by SHO Kalakote Ranbir Singh conducted surprise checking at said dhaba when the owner namely Roop Singh tried to escape but the police party intercepted the accused after chase.
During checking, team recovered three bottles of illicit liquor approximately three litres in volume.
On this a case in FIR No 19/2024 U/S 48 (a)/(f ) excise act has been registered and investigation has been set into motion.
