Machinery involved in illegal mining seized in Rajouri

RAJOURI, MAY 20:–On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, a team of Geology and Mining department laid nakas at various locations to crack a whip on perpetrators of illegal mining.

The teams during raids seized two tippers, one Dumper and one poclain.

The District Mineral officer, Naseeb Bajraang said that the Department is taking effective measures to curb illegal mining practices in the district and defaulters are being dealt with strictly.

While asking the people not to indulge in illegal mining activities, he made it clear that the violation of Government rules in this regard would be dealt with strictly.

Reteriating that effective measures are in place to check illegal mining practices in the district, the DMO also said that the drive launched against such practices will continue with more vigour and force till involved persons refrain from exercising such practices.
