RAJOURI APRIL 29:–District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Rajouri has constituted26 Home Voting Teams in 86-Budhal Assembly Constituency of 3- Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency for conducting home voting through Postal Ballot of Absentee Voters.
The voting for 3- Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency will be held on May 7.
The Home Voting exercise will be conducted under the supervision of Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) 86-Budhal AC who will provide all necessary assistance to these polling teams including vehicles, cardboard sheets, indelible ink, postal ballot papers, envelopes, pen, ink pads etc.
He was also directed for timely information to the electors regarding the visit of the Home Voting team.
According to DEO order (DDEO/R/2024/1951-58 dt 29/4/2024) Home Voting in 86-Budhal AC of 3-Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency will be conducted on 1, 2, & 3 May-2024 from 9 am to 5 pm.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) for the first time in a Lok Sabha Election-2024 has provided the facility of home voting for the elderly and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
Voters above 85 years of age and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) with 40% benchmark disability can avail the optional home voting facility.
There are over 81 lakh 85+ aged voters and 90 lakh + PwD voters registered across the country.
