‘Look After Naib Tehsildar’ appointed last year yet to join at Budhal.

RAJOURI AUGUST 30 :–A delegation of people of Budhal and adjoining area led by senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member Mohd Iqbal Malik and appraised him that the Budhal Niyabat in Kotranka sub-district in Rajouri district is non-functional because the post of Naib tehsildar is vacant for the last about two years.
A delegation of Budhal and adjoining areas led by Mohd Iqbal Malik today met with Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner (DC), and appraised him about the problems being faced by the poor people for the mitigation of their routine official related works/engagements.
“In the year 1968 Tehsil was established at Budhal but some political leaders for their vested interests had shifted the tehsil office to Koteranka town about 20 kilometers from Rajnagar Budhal,” said Malik.
Since 1971 Rajnagar Budhal is a Niabat but now for the last two years it is totally defunct as the office is vacant and people are suffering badly, he added.
Sources said during 2020 the office of Financial Commissioner Revenue vide order number 148 FC (Revenue) dt 22/8/2020 had transferred one Shabir Ahmed as ‘look after Naib Tehsildar’ of Budhal Niyabat against available vacancy, but sadly the Niyabat office is still vacant and the posted Naib Tehsildar is absent from his duty from the date of his transfer.
“The issue was raised several times before the district administration but unfortunately district administration failed to resolve this issue and left the poor people and students of Rajnagar Budhal and its adjoining areas to suffer,” said Manzoor Malik, spokesperson of BJP Youth Wing.
The delegation informed Rajesh Kumar Shavan, DC the even for an income certificate or for the attestation of affidavits local people have to travel to a tehsil office at Kotranka by spending hundreds of Rupees as they are left with no other option.
“A permanent Naib Tehsildar will be posted for Budhal Niyabat within a week’s time as district administration is fully committed to easing the lives of common masses,” said DC after listening to people’s grievances.
