JHULLAS/POONCH NOV 03: The Indian Army-organized Krishan Ghati Premier League (KGPL) 2025 witnessed two exciting matches today at Jhullas, Poonch, marked by high energy, sportsmanship, and youth participation.
In Match No. 3, Amjad Club secured a commanding victory over Bismillah Cricket Club. Batting first, Bismillah Cricket Club were bowled out for 62 runs, with Amjad Club successfully chasing down the target with ease, winning by 9 wickets. Mr. Moin was named Man of the Match for his exceptional bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for just 10 runs in 2 overs. He received a trophy and ₹5,000 cash prize from the Chief Guest.
The fourth match of the tournament saw Hill View take on Star Club Jr. After winning the toss, Hill View elected to bat first and posted an impressive 159 runs. In response, Star Club Jr. managed 114 runs, falling short by 45 runs. Sikander Khan was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding all-round display — scoring 49 runs and taking 4 wickets. He too was felicitated with a trophy and ₹5,000 cash award.
The Krishan Ghati Premier League, a flagship sporting initiative by the Indian Army, continues to serve as an excellent platform for nurturing young cricketing talent in the Poonch region.
