Poonch :– The Korean Orthopaedic Association (KOA) has invited Dr. Raashid Anjum as travelling fellow to the 63rd Annual Congress to be held on 17th to 19th of October at Grand Hilton Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Dr. Rashid, who hails from village Kalai of Haveli tehsil of Poonch district, studied Medicine from SKIMS and GMC&H Jammu. He is son of famous Gojri poet and Paediatrician Dr. Rafiq Anjum.
Lauding Dr. Raashid’s expertise in the field, President, KOA, Won Yong Shon in his invite to Dr. Raashid said “we are strongly convinced that your expertise and knowledge in the Orthopaedic would add a great value to the scientific program and your participation will be key to the success of the Congress”.
Kalai a small village near the confluence of Mandi and Surankote streams of Poonch river has been in news for outstanding performance of her youngsters in varied fields.
The village has dozens of doctors, engineers, civil servants, writers, poets and professionals in several other fields. This tiny village alone accounts for more than 50% of IITians from Pir Panjal region.
