RAJOURI JULY 31:-Senior PDP leader Farooq Inqlabi has strongly condemned the administrative negligence that led to the tragic accident in the Kewal Beji area, which resulted in the death of 22-year-old Sarfraz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Arif, a resident of Dhaleri Khawas.
Inqlabi stated that the accident occurred due to the extremely poor condition of the road, which has remained dangerous and neglected for years. He pointed to the Phalni Tran to Phagoli road, a stretch of 8 kilometers, which was sanctioned in 2004 but still remains incomplete, posing serious risks to commuters.
He added that this issue has been raised with the administration and the government thousands of times, yet no substantial action has been taken. “Unfortunately, far-flung and remote areas like ours continue to be ignored by the authorities,” Inqlabi said.
Holding the government accountable for the incident, he demanded a compensation of ₹50 lakh for the family of the deceased, stating that the accident was a direct result of administrative failure, and that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure proper road infrastructure.
He called on the authorities to take immediate steps to complete the pending 8 km road project and to ensure that such tragedies do not repeat due to negligence and lack of development.
