Kashmiri Pandits Protested against the government :Reiterating Aurangzeb’s 1637 legal tax and equating it with imposing electricity fee on helpless and destitute poor Kashmiri Migrants

JAMMU JUNE 11:– Reiterating Aurangzeb’s 1637 legal tax and equating it with imposing electricity fee on helpless and destitute poor people, Kashmiri Hindus living in refugee camps took out several protest processions at various places in Jammu division here today.

Questioning the apathetic intentions of the ruling government towards the Kashmiri Pandits, the poor and destitute families who are living in various camps due to their compulsion, took to the streets and expressed their anger against the present government and took serious notice of the government’s policy towards the Pandits. This is a great point of criticism recorded and the helpless people raising slogans made a strong demonstration against the decision of the ruling government to impose electricity fee as another direct tax in the migrant camps within the grieving families.

Meanwhile, like the rest of the camps, thousands of people came out of their homes in Jagti Township and protested against the government’s discrimination attitude towards the minority community. The area has been cordoned off and sealed by the security forces already so that the voice of the migrant community can be suppressed and crushed in any way.

During the protest rally, many young leaders of Jagti Township expressed their deep grief over the government’s treatment towards the migrant community and said that the incompetent government has failed on all fronts, which oppresses the suffering people like Aurangzeb and cruelty upon poor people is the same as though were adopted by Aurangzeb historically .

While addressing the protest rally, the youth leader Sunil Pandita has made it clear that the families living in the refugee camps do not even have sufficient bread and meal as they are not able to pay the electricity fee anyway. He further asserted that the incompetent government is not ashamed of how poor people can pay the electricity fees that cannot pay the rent of a vehicle to perform the Tull mullah yearly or annual holy pilgrimage.

Expressing grief and sorrow over the sightless government, Sunil Pandita told further on the side line to our media reporters during the protest demonstration rally were held he said repeatedly that it is a shameful act of the government to impose electricity fees upon the poor and helpless people living in the graveyard and desert lands without basic amenities .He categorically said that no family will pay the electricity fee until the permanent and spoonful rehabilitation is done for the community.

On the other hand, the state president Adarsh Sangram party Mr. Inder Ji labroo has said that the current ruling government has proved to be a failure on all fronts, inflation rate has been on the rise continuously and the needy and poor families have been put on strike for the last three years though are also continuously sitting, but the sad point is that despite the BJP led government the local party representatives are represented in the parliament but their services towards the poor and needy people are shameful and pitiful, which is very little to condemn. He lashed upon the attitude of the present government and said that the poor family is not at all worthy to pay the electricity fee and accused the government of neglecting Article 21 and said that the government should first be serious about its people. While reiterated the demand that the poor people should be given the right to livelihood and demands the increment of the monthly assistance immediately and promptly within the poor families residing in poor environment situations in different camps located in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and outside the state.
