RAJOURI NOV 04:-In a late-night road mishap in Kalakot subdivision of Rajouri district, a Naik died while a sepoy was critically injured and is under treatment in Medical Inspection (MI) Room of 63 RR at Kalakote.
Sources said an Army Recovery Vehicle with two soldiers was on its way to Kalakote when the driver lost control of the vehicle, skidded off the road and fell in about 200 deep gorges near Badog village.
On getting information about the accident, locals rushed to the site and started a rescue operation. Police were also informed and a team along with an ambulance reached the spot.
The injured were first shifted to the Community Health Center (CHC) at Kalakote where Naik Badri Lal Yadav was declared dead by the doctors.
Both the soldiers belong to 63 RR unit based at Kalakote and later the injured soldier, identified as Sepoy Jai Prakash, was shifted to MI Room of 63 RR.
The police have started the investigation.
