SRINAGAR JUNE 09:–Jammu And Kashmir United Movement (JKUM ) leaders headed by EX MLA and President JKUM Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar including , Chief Spokesperson Ejaz Ahmad , Youth Leader Iqbal Sopori , and others, today visited the family of recently elected Member of Parliament Eng Rasheed in Langate, who won by over 2 lakh votes. They extended their wishes and pledged to continue fighting for the release of Eng Rasheed, who is still in jail.
Sheikh Ishfaq said We are grateful that the people supported him and he won. Now, we must fight for his release so that he can serve the people and raise their voices in parliament. Party’s Spokesperson Ejaz Ahmad said that people have proved that humanity is still alive by voting in large numbers and defeating a former CM. We will now continue our fight to get him out of jail.” He also praised Eng Rasheed’s sons for their patience and successful campaign. He criticised Omar Abdullah, calling him arrogant for accusing Eng Rasheed’s sons of being separatists. Ejaz stated, “Omar is frustrated because he lost by more than 2 lakh votes. People have rejected him because he is a liar and has made no sacrifices for the Kashmir cause. Boycotts used to help NC, so now they are frustrated that people came out in large numbers and voted for Eng Rasheed. Kashmiris believe in humanity, and they have proved it.
