JAMMU JAN, 10:-A delegation of Jammu Kashmir rehabar-e- taleem teachers Forum ( JKRETTF) today met the Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) in his office chamber at Jammu and took up several long-pending issues of teachers appointed under the RET Scheme.
As per a statement issued by the Chief Spokesperson of the forum , Muzafar Ahmed Wani,
The delegation was headed by General Secretary JKRETTF, Jhangir Alam Khan, along with Vice Chairman JKRETTF and In-charge District President Ramban, Shakeel Ahmed Zohad. During the meeting, the delegation submitted a detailed memorandum highlighting various burning issues affecting the teaching fraternity.
The major issues raised included entry of graduation degrees of Grade-III teachers and their conversion to Grade-II, expediting Teacher-to-Master grade promotions, adjustment of teachers on substantive posts working on supernumerary posts, interim arrangement of DDO powers on vacant posts, creation of Master grade posts in upgraded primary schools, correction of discrepancies on the HRMS portal, and reclassification of Education Zones Balakote (District Poonch) and Thanamandi (District Rajouri) as Winter Zones.
After patiently hearing the delegation, Director School Education Jammu, Mr. Naseem Javid Choudhary (KAS), assured them that Grade-III teachers who have acquired their graduation degrees with prior permission do not require any further permission from his office. He further informed the delegation that necessary directions would be issued to the concerned Joint Directors, who in turn will instruct the Chief Education Officers for immediate entry of graduation degrees into the service books of eligible teachers, enabling their conversion into Teacher Grade-II.
The Director further stated that several other issues highlighted in the memorandum are already in the pipeline, while the remaining genuine demands would also be addressed on a priority basis.
Other members who were part of the delegation included UT Executive Ahmed Khan, Provincial Coordinator Jammu Sachin Sharma, District president Reasi Bahadur singh Rasyal, Nayeem sheikh, provincial Joint Secretary,
Gulchain singh District executive Reasi, Parsaid singh District Executive,Bhuri Singh District Executive Reasi,Zonal President Inderwal (Kishtwar) Ghulam Hassan, Vice Zonal President Banihal Sajad Hussain Bohroo, Madan Lal ZP Lowehartel Rajouri and others.
The JKRETTF leadership expressed hope that the assurances given by the Director School Education Jammu would soon translate into concrete action, bringing much-needed relief to the teaching community.
